Macquarie Model Soaring Club, Inc.

Macquarie Model Soaring Club offers a quiet flying place for electric-powered model aircraft inside the grounds of the Macquarie University at North Ryde, 15 minutes north-west of Sydney. Members fly there on weekends, usually after 2.00 P.M., and due to noise restrictions, only electric-powered models are permitted. Beginners to the sport are catered for, as most members are willing to assist in setting up new models & providing flying instruction. The club has a trainer aircraft, and buddy-box radio for instruction.

Prospective members are welcome to attend and see the models in operation, however you need to become a member to fly your own aircraft at this club. By joining the Club, you are automatically covered by a liability insurance to the value of $5 million, in the event that your model causes damage to other people or property. This insurance is valid at any other flying sites also.

You can join this Club by requesting a membership application form, and returning the completed form with payment by Cheque or Money Order to the Club Post Box. Membership is $70 for Adults.
